Highland Maize Varieties are specially developed hybrid maize seeds suited for the cool, high-altitude zones of Kenya and neighboring regions. These hybrids thrive in temperatures below 28°C, with rainfall between 800–1500mm, and show excellent resistance to major maize diseases.

They are perfect for farmers in areas such as Trans-Nzoia, Uasin-Gishu, Nakuru, Laikipia, Nandi, Kericho, Nyeri, Kiambu, Meru, and the tea-growing zones of Central and Western Kenya, as well as the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Southern Highlands of Tanzania.
